An excellent exhibition setting is the Sala dei Templari (Hall of the Templars). Located in Piazza Municipio, it’s called after the medieval knightly order which was present in the town. Indeed in this area there was a church dedicated to Saint Nicholas and a Domus of the Temple, which were useful to administrate the other properties of the Order, among which large olive tree groves stood out. Today inside the hall you can clearly notice the palimpsest of the previous structures, as they draw a different structural situation which is incorporated into the current one. This area hosts exhibitions of contemporary artists, conferences and cultural meetings.
